Our Story

Our interest in hermit crabs began in 2017 when the kids found some at the pet store. We sat down and researched as much as we could about these little creatures.  Contrary to the pet store's recommendations, we found that hermit crabs need specialized care and a well rounded diet. We started off with four hermit crabs and tried our best to set up a proper tank and provide the right food but I soon realized if we were to do this properly it was going to take some more planning. This is where the idea of Hermit Grub was born! 

I have always loved all animals, whether furry, scaly, legs or pinchers, I've been interested in learning and caring for them. Starting Hermit Grub came naturally to me as I enjoy improving, learning and creating daily.  My children also like helping and are always coming up with creative ideas.
